Paddy Power Betfair replaces retiring non-executive director

Paddy Power Betfair has announced that Pádraig Ó Ríordáin, non-executive director of the company, has retired as a non-executive director and as a member of the Nomination Committee and the Risk Committee of the company effective immediately.

Ó Ríordáin joined the Board of Paddy Power plc as a non-executive director and chairman of the Remuneration Committee in August 2008 and continued to be on the Board of Paddy Power Betfair plc from February 2016 following the completion of the merger of Paddy Power plc and Betfair Group plc.

Gary McGann, group chairman, commented: “I would like to thank Pádraig for his valuable contribution to our Board over his tenure. In particular, I wish to express our thanks for his excellent chairmanship of the Remuneration Committee during this time.”

Michael Cawley has been appointed to the Nomination Committee effective immediately.
