Paddy Power Betfair (PPB) is at it again as its latest publicity stunt seeks to employ a “Head of Trump Betting” cashing in on the ongoing controversy surrounding newly elected US President, Donald J. Trump.
The position is a three month contract in which the candidate must manage the company’s “newly launched hub of specials around the President”.
PPB’s linkedin advertisement reads “We want to make American politics great again. Because, let’s face it, there’s no chance Trump will”.
The successful candidate will monitor and manage existing Trump markets while devising new specials to launch, the ad continues, with plenty of tongue in cheek references to Trump’s controversial comments and policies such as: “They will also need to build a wall around the hub to ensure foreign bets don’t get in”.
Multilingual ability is a distinct advantage “particularly if you specialise in decoding Trumpisms”, the ad concludes.
