Irish gambling firm Paddy Power has recruited fresh marketing blood with the appointment of former John Lewis brand marketing manager Anna Braithwaite; along with Harry Dromey, a former account director at Beattie McGuiness Bungay.
Braithwaite was appointed sportsbook marketing manager and will manage Paddy Power’s football and horse racing brand campaigns while Dromey will work under Ken Robertson in what has been dubbed Paddy Power’s “mischief” department known for the development of its usually controversial but effective advertising campaigns that include the recent Second Jobs for Subs billboard campaign and the Cheltenham ladies day ad which created quite a stir before being banned.
Christian Woolfenden, global marketing manager for Paddy Power said: “Anna and Harry will make fantastic additions to the team, each bringing with them a wealth of top-level experience and, most importantly, a good sense of fun. They will be central to ensuring Paddy Power continues to wow, excite and entertain audiences.”
Paddy Power brought two heavy-weight marketers on board late last year with the appointment of Danny Russel, former Sky marketing strategy director and Robin Auld, ex-Domino’s marketer .
