On the back of strong half year results Irish bookmaker Paddy Power has announced the appointment of Christian Woolfenden (33) as its new UK and Irish marketing director.
Woolfenden currently holds the position of Global Brand Director for the Bacardi brand and will join Paddy Power at the beginning of December 2011. Before joining Bacardi in 2008, the marketer worked for eight years at Procter & Gamble in Switzerland and London.
The appointment follows the move by Barni Evans, Paddy Power’s former Marketing Director, to Australia to head up the marketing for the company’s Australian divisions, Sportsbet and IASbet.
