Paddy Power is ramping up its self-exclusion process in retail betting shops by replacing the old paper-based system with a faster, more efficient and networked electronic system.
The in-shop app stores the customer’s image and contact information and automatically distributes the profiles to up to ten Paddy Power shops in the surrounding area….and it is fast enough to immediately process, record and distribute the exclusion.
The plan is for all UK Paddy Power shops to have the system installed within the next few months, with Irish shops following later in the year. Titled the Multi-Operator Self-Exclusion Scheme (Moses) the system was developed by the Responsible Gambling Consultancy Ltd, and was extensively and successfully trialled in Kent
Group m.d. of retail, David Newton said this week:
“Providing quick support for customers who want to self-exclude is a key element of our responsible gambling agenda.
“We believe that this new process will make self-exclusion easier and quicker for our customers and hope that other retail betting-operators join us in providing this service.”
The RGA online self-exclusion scheme Gamstop is also due to be launched this year
