Watch out for plenty of extracurricular excitement at the Ryder Cup golf tournament in the USA Saturday, where Paddy Power intends to “redress the balance” of an away game for the European team with a spectacular combination of Tweets and skywriting stunt pilots.
The plan is for stunt aircraft to write 200 foot high letters at an altitude of 10,000 feet over the golf course in Medinah, spelling out 40 Twitter messages from fans in a daring marketing ploy developed by the online and land gambling group and dubbed “Sky Tweets.”
One trial message, saying “Do it for Seve,” appeared early Saturday over the course.
