Speaking at the launch of a new entertainment centre in the Philippines this week, the chairperson of the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (Pagcor), Andrea Domingo, said the facility will bring more visitors to the region and boost gambling figures.
Domingo predicted another bumper year, forecasting that FY revenues at Pagcor will rise from P55 billion last year (a 17 percent improvement on 2015) to P61 billion (around US$1.2 billion) in 2017.
The popularity of Pagcor’s new Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators licenses, introduced at the end of 2016, has also played a role in enhancing Pagcor’s financial performance, she said.
