Partouche Interactive may be getting something wrong in its online enterprise; its latest numbers are in stark contrast to the successful online business being reported by the likes of Paddy Power, William Hill Online, Stan James, 888 and other major gambling groups with prospering internet divisions.
This week the group announced that it is to re-launch its French-facing online poker site after a decline in turnover. The division contributed a disappointing 1.3 percent to group revenues in current reports, suffering a year-on-year slide south of 16.7 percent in online revenues.
Management hopes that the recent move into the newly and controversially regulated Belgian online gambling market may lift the business out of its rut.
