The prepaid online payment solutions provider Paysafecard has extended its eSports activity beyond sponsor-targeted eSports league events to a sponsorship agreement with eSports club G2 Esports, a Madrid-based organisation founded three years ago by top eSports professional player Carlos Rodriguez.
Commenting on the agreement in a statement Wednesday, Paysafecard CEO Udo Müller said, “2015 saw us sponsor targeted eSports league events. Sponsoring an elite club now highlights just how important the competitive eSports scene and the sportsmanship of the digital world are to us.
“This partnership also allows us to offer the eSports community many exclusive gaming moments. Fans and gamers around the world can look forward to a packed schedule of campaigns, promotions and special offers, as well as meet and greets at a whole range of events. Paysafecard is placing gamers and their needs at the heart of its efforts.”
