Penang reveal gambling bust stats

Penang authorities have revealed the arrest of 234 people, both gamblers and operators, 140 raids and the confiscation of 703 tech devices in 2016.

Action in 211 raids during statewide special operations, the arrest of 315 people and the confiscation of 1,200 tech devices has been undertaken this year alone, Penang police chief commissioner, Datuk Chuah Ghee Lye, reported during a press briefing.
