USD land gambling group Penn National Gaming has completed the acquisition of a second social bingo development company, Las Vegas-based Absolute Games, for an undisclosed consideration.
The acquisition will be integrated into the group’s interactive ventures division, a spokesman confirmed this week.
Our readers will recall that two years ago Penn National paid $60 million to acquire San Francisco-based social bingo developer Rocket Games, Inc – also integrated into Penn Interactive Ventures, which operates out of the group’s offices in Conshohocken, Philadelphia. The division supports a portfolio of iGaming products that includes Viva Slots Vegas, Hollywoodcasino.com (online and mobile free slot games provided by Scientific Games), HollywoodSlots.com (Mobile and Facebook social free casino apps developed by OpenWager) and Hollywoodraces.com (an advance deposit wagering platform provided by Sportech plc).
Absolute Games CEO Pokin Yeung said that his company sees the acquisition by Penn as an opportunity to leverage its expertise and nationwide reach and take Absolute’s game development capabilities to the next level.
“Tying our innovative gaming expertise to a traditional casino operator with a qualified database of customers will create unmatched opportunities for both Absolute Games and Penn National,” he said.
