The regulated online gambling market in New Jersey has a new contender following the news Monday that Philadelphia’s SugarHouse Casino land operator has launched an online casino in collaboration with New Jersey-licensed online operator Golden Nugget.
Our readers will recall that in addition to managing its own online activity, Golden Nugget also hosts Betfaircasino.com.
Online gambling writer Steve Ruddock broke the news on Twitter, revealing that Playsugarhouse.com is now up and running after a brief test phase last week.
Ruddock notes that this is not the first move into the New Jersey online market by a Pennsylvanian land operator, pointing to Mohegan Sun’s venture last year, and the 888 collaboration with Mount Airy.
The SugarHouse online casino is available on desktop as well as mobile Android and iOS platforms, offering games from quality suppliers like Aristocrat, Bally, High 5 Games, IGT, NYX, Shufflemaster and WMS.
Rush Street Interactive manages the operation in an extension of its parent group’s business association with the SugarHouse land operation in Philadelphia. RSI also manages the social casino launched last year by SugarHouse (see previous report).
