Philweb enters Laotian gambling market

The Philippine gambling group PhilWeb is entering the Laotian gambling market following a deal with the Simuong Group (SMG) for the development of lotteries and internet gambling cafes reports the Manila Times.
“The games will operate under exclusive Lao People’s Democratic Republic government franchises, and will create new revenue channels to fund its infrastructure and social development projects,” a spokesman for PhilWeb said.  “This will be SMG’s first venture into the gaming business, where PhilWeb’s expertise and track record will prove to be a major advantage.”
