Mumbai, India-based games developer Play Games24X7 has revealed a new free-to-play social cricket betting app titled “Ultimate Bet – Cricket”.
The app aims to give ardent Indian cricket supporters a simulated betting experience by allowing the placing of friendly bets on its platform using virtual chips.
Social punters are currently able to place bets on real-time IPL ball-to-ball play, set friendly challenges and utilise a chat facility. They can also participate in five over betting tournaments against the best players in the country. Future updates are expected to include bet per over and bet per match capabilities.
According to Play Games24X7, the app attracted 50,000 downloads during its pilot phase and is proving popular with the 25-35 year-old age group.
“Ultimate Games is focusing on developing games that appeal to the sensibilities of Indians,” Trivikraman Thampy, chief executive officer of Play Games24x7 said.
“With the launch of Ultimate Bet – Cricket, we have taken the cricket watching experience to the next level by giving cricket fans a chance to not just watch but also engage with friends during the match, especially in this IPL season.”
Players can earn virtual chips by inviting friends to join through Facebook and WhatsApp.
Play Games24X7, under its Ultimate Games brand, also offers localised social casino games such as Ultimate Teen Patti, Ultimate Rummy, Ultimate Poker and Call It Right.
