Playtech has entered into its largest ever, multi-year, branded games content deal with Warner Bros. Consumer Products, on behalf of DC Entertainment.
The exclusive agreement allows Playtech to develop a wide catalogue of DC-branded film and television properties into omni-channel slot, bingo and roulette casino games and covers movie titles such as Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, The Dark Knight Trilogy, Suicide Squad and the Studio’s upcoming action adventure, Justice League.
The partnership also brings the previously announced Playtech-DC-branded games content to retail terminals in the UK, Italy, Finland, Norway and the newly regulated Romanian market with titles including DC’s 1960’s Batman Classic TV Series, and the Warner Bros. films Man of Steel (2013), Green Lantern (2011), Superman (1978) and Superman II (1980).
Each game will be linked to the DC Super Heroes Progressive Jackpot with a series of tiered jackpots.
Mor Weizer, chief executive officer of Playtech, said: “This is a hugely significant deal for Playtech and we’re delighted to have a wider-reaching exclusive DC film- and TV-branded content licensing agreement with Warner Bros. Consumer Products.
“We’ve had phenomenal feedback from our licensees based on the high-quality and calibre of the DC-branded games we rolled out in 2016”.
