Gambling services supplier Playtech has appointed Austrian entrepreneur and founder of BGT, Dr. Armin Sageder, as chief executive officer of its newly established division, Playtech BGT Sports.
Playtech Sports companies BGT, Geneity, Mobenga, Unilogic and the company’s internal Sports Trading team have been brought together under the new business division.
Sageder, reporting directly to Playtech’s chief executive officer Mor Weizer, will assume responsibility for all Playtech BGT Sports’ business and customer relations. He will establish and lead a team to manage the division which comprises around 600 employees based in Nicosia, Malmö, Vienna, London, Bremen and Sofia.
According to a company statement, Playtech BGT Sports will provide a one-stop-shop betting offering based on Playtech’s Omni-channel platform technology.
The platform will provide customers with a seamless betting experience across all channels and devices including over-the-counter, Self-Service Betting Terminals (SSBTs), online and mobile.
In addition, the new division will cater for differentiated sports betting solutions for both anonymous and registered customers across retail and digital channels, the company said.
