Pari Mutuel Urbain (PMU) has named Alain Resplandy-Bernard (45) as deputy chief executive officer.
Resplandy-Bernard, who was nominated by chief executive officer Xavier Hurstel, will take on the role from February 2, 2015 subject to Board approval.
Currently serving as public auditor at the la Cour des comptes, Resplandy-Bernard is a former director general of the French Football Federation and vice-president Audit, Finance and Compliance Assessments and Risk.
He also served as Commissioner to the United Nations in New York, and was appointed as advisor to the Prime Minister in charge of sports, tourism and housing.
