The four European countries that have agreed to share poker player pools, France, Spain, Portugal and Italy will soon have achieved the objective, with France and Spain already active, and Portugal soon to follow, according to a statement by French regulatory chief Charles Coppolani during a recent television interview.
The Portuguese poker regulatory scene has been relatively quiet of late, but Coppolani says that preparations are well advanced and Portuguese players will soon be active in the pool.
His comments follow news earlier this week that despite some commercial and political opposition Italy is pressing ahead with its preparations to join the project and is currently working on technical verification aspects (see previous report).
