Premier League soccer club sanctioned for displaying gambling logo on jersey

English Premier League Newcastle Football Club has been charged by the UK Football Association (FA) for displaying its online gambling sponsorship partner FUN88’s logo on the shirts of its under 18 youth team.

Under-18’s or youth teams are not permitted to feature online gambling sponsors on their shirts according to the FA’s kit and advertising regulations.

Newcastle FC has until March 29 to respond to the charge.
