Presidential PA was a big gambler, claims U.S. media

Further details have emerged in US media reports regarding the unceremonious sacking of President Trump’s PA, John McEntee (27) earlier this week on allegations related to personal tax and online gambling.

The Washington Post quotes two anonymous insider sources who claimed that background investigations indicated that, despite his relatively young age, McEntee was a big online sports punter at unspecified websites who allegedly wagered tens of thousands of dollars at a time.

The information raised concerns that he could pose a security risk by being vulnerable to blackmail, the sources said.

McEntee, a college quarterback and Fox News intern, worked on President Trump’s election campaign before joining the president as his PA at the White House. Following his abrupt dismissal this week he was hired by the Trump 2020 presidential election campaign.
