Purvis replaces Carter as head of 49’s Ltd

Fixed odds supplier 49’s Limited has announced that David Purvis has succeeded Richard Carter as its new Chief Executive Officer.

Purvis, who has enjoyed a long and successful career in the gambling industry took up his new CEO role at the end of June following Carter’s retirement.

The Company supplies a portfolio of fixed odds betting products, including 49’s , the twice daily draw, Irish lotto Bet, Rapido, virtual horse and greyhound racing, to the shops of leading and independent bookmakers throughout the UK and Ireland.

Purvis (49) spent the last five years as managing director and chief executive of Stanleybet.  He started his career in UK betting with Coral working in various operational roles, including shop and area management.   From there he became involved in the gaming machines business, eventually going on to become managing director of Cyberview plc.

Purvis said, “I am delighted to be getting back into the UK betting shop business, which is where I started my career, and ensuring that 49’s continues to deliver great products and experiences for its customers.”
