Rank Group appoint Christopher Bell

The Rank Group Plc has appointed Christopher Bell (57) to the board as a senior independent director effective June 1, 2015.  Bell will also serve on Rank’s audit committee.

Bell is the former managing director of the then Hilton Group’s Ladbrokes Worldwide business, subsequently serving as chief executive officer of the newly named Ladbrokes PLC from 2006, after which he left unexpectedly in 2010 after spending two decades with the company.

Ian Burke, Rank’s chairman, said “With his extensive experience of the gambling industry and his considerable corporate experience, I am delighted that Chris is joining the board of Rank and I look forward to working with him as we proceed to deliver our strategic priorities.”
