Real Sports Global has launched 5050Streak, a social version of its innovative casino game 5050Sports, featuring international sports personalities and exclusively-licensed archive broadcast footage, with publisher Trinity Mirror.
The agreement sees 5050Streak, where Facebook players aim to win 5050Coins, become available to online (with mobile to follow) readers of Mirror.co.uk.
The social platform contains classic free-play features, including leaderboards, challenges, competitions for sporting memorabilia prizes and friend invites, along with a freemium model where players can purchase Facebook credits within the game.
5050Streak appears as a mini-game on all Mirror.co.uk sports home and article pages, and will be supported by offline marketing in The Daily Mirror newspaper, ahead of the full online and mobile launch of the 5050Sports real-money product.
The game features the same international sports stars as 5050Sports: ex-England footballer Michael Owen, former Ashes-winning England cricket captain Michael Vaughan, multiple world boxing title holder Ricky Hatton, 2011 Open champion Darren Clarke, World Superbike legend Carl Fogarty and Australian darts superstar Simon Whitlock.
Players of the 5050 titles wager on the outcome of officially-licensed clips of classic sporting action from a range of events, including FA Cup fixtures, England and Brazil national team games, world-title boxing, international cricket, golf, motorsport and darts, Premier League snooker, as well as greyhounds, with exclusive Walthamstow races.
“This development means that the 5050Sports game is now available in all formats of the gaming spectrum from social, to mobile, to online, to land-based,” said Stuart Carr, CEO of Real Sports Global and founder of 5050Sports.
“Considering the Mirror.co.uk attracts millions of unique readers every day, partnering with Trinity Mirror provides a massive – and completely new – audience for our products.”
“With some of the biggest names from the modern era, like Michael Owen, Michael Vaughan, Ricky Hatton and Darren Clarke, and hours’ worth of classic sports broadcast action, the 5050 titles are a great fit for Mirror readers. From the feedback gathered so far, we are sure they are going to love the game,” said Jon Dey, Trinity Mirror senior commercial partnerships manager.
5050Sports launched online with BetVictor in December 2013 and is a bonus feature in the land-based slot game Mega Grandstand featuring 5050Sports from Astra Games Ltd, a subsidiary of the Novomatic Group of Companies. Real Sports Global has also integrated the product with Quickfire, powered by Microgaming, and The Gaming Platform Group.
