Last year’s brand and assets sale to Unibet of the online gambling interests of Gibraltar-based bookmaker Stan James (see previous report) carried with it a grace period giving the retail operations of the previous owners a timeframe within which a new brand could be developed and implemented.
Six months later, and with 12 months of the transitional period still in hand, the co-founder of the company, Steve Fisher, told the publication Racing Post that developing a new corporate identity and re-branding the company’s roster of around 80 betting shops is in progress and will cost at least GBP 1 million.
Fisher did not give any indication of what the new identity will look like.
