Following a reportedly hot, four-hour debate, revised casino legislation was passed by members of Bermuda’s House of Assembly earlier this week.
The Casino Gaming Amendment Act 2016 has been marked by some as a “patch” or a “clean-up bill” addressing the previous 2014 gaming act’s failure to address problem gambling.
In terms of the effect the bill may have on digital gaming, the bill allows licensed terrestrial casinos permission to offer on-site mobile play and betting in specific play zones.
