The Responsible Gambling Trust (RGT) has appointed Hilary Stewart-Jones as the charity’s fifth independent trustee giving the RGT board an equal balance of independent and industry-related representatives.
Stewart-Jones commenting on her appointment said: “I very much look forward to providing impartial advice and support to the Responsible Gambling Trust to help the charity become an independent, authoritative and respected voice for responsible gambling in Britain.
“As a partner at DLA Piper, one of the world’s largest global law firms, I fully understand the international reach of technology and the global nature of the gambling industry and I hope to bring these insights to my work with the Responsible Gambling Trust.
“I also hope that I can contribute to raising awareness of the Trust’s important role and in so doing encourage the gambling industry to recognise the value of supporting the Trust.”
