Romanian media reports Friday indicate that the country’s Competition Council has imposed a Euro 50,000 penalty on local retail betting operator Westgate Romania, allegedly because it didn’t wait to get Competition Council approval before taking over the Stanleybet betting agency.
Westgate operates slot machines and video-lottery terminals on the local market.
