Online gambling operators seeking an extra level of assurance regarding their responsible gambling measures are the target for Canada’s Responsible Gaming Council, which has just launched RG Check-Internet.
The program is an international accreditation award following an independent, practical assessment of the gambling safeguards in use on online gambling websites, and is adapted from the already successful RG Check – Venue system, which has accredited 60 venues since launching in 2011.
The Remote Gaming Council created the standards used for RG Check – Internet and will manage the program in Canada, whilst the internationally respected professional business services organisation PricewaterhouseCoopers Canada will administer the international version of the program, although the final decision on the award of accreditations will rest with the RGC.
