Scotland’s largest independent bookmaker ScotBet has partnered in a three-year sponsorship deal with Scottish professional football club Heart of Midlothian (Hearts), becoming the clubs official in-stadium and online gaming partner.
Hearts, one of two principal professional football clubs based in Gorgie, West Edinburgh, currently plays in the Scottish Premier League.
The partnership will see Scotbet provide in-stadium betting to the Tynecastle faithful as well as online, mobile and interactive gaming facilities via its website.
Willie Lynas, Scotbet’s area manager of 23 years said: “We are delighted to be the official partners of such a big and important football club as Hearts. We see our relationship with Hearts as an ideal sign of our commitment to help raise the profile of Hearts as well as Scottish football in general.
Rory Donaldson, Hearts’ Advertising and Sponsorship Manager, said: “We are looking forward to working closely with Scotbet over the next three years to provide our fans with new and innovative ways of betting in current and new markets.”
Scotbet was bought out by its management in July this year and is currently headed up by chief executive officer Graham Martin, the former chairman of the successful mobile gambling business Probability plc and non-executive chairman John Heaton, the former chief executive officer of the UK Tote.
