B2B Daily Fantasy Sports and pool betting provider Scout Gaming Group has struck a deal with Norway’s public service radio and television company, NRK AS for the delivery of a free-to-play fantasy sports platform.
Under the terms of the deal, Scout Gaming will initially launch NRK’s platform for the football World Cup.
NRK and commercial Norwegian television channel TV2 will partner to offer their viewers competitive peer-to-peer daily fantasy sports play.
“The fact that Norway’s two largest TV channels combine and offer its viewers an opportunity to play DFS during the World Cup confirms the establishment of the gaming vertical in Europe,” Andreas Ternström, CEO of Scout Gaming Group said.
“We have previously seen successful examples of editorial integration when Norwegian TV2 has used our gaming platform for other sports. The fact that NRK now, along with TV2, engages in an editorial collaboration will further enhance the viewers experience as the number of players is expected to increase.”
