Shuffle Master’s successful approval by the Nevada Gaming Control Board was confirmed Thursday by the Nevada Gaming Commission, making the company the third to receive approval as a provider of interactive gaming systems in Nevada.
The primarily land casino suppliers, IGT and Bally Technologies, were granted licenses last month, and it is understood that over 30 other applicant companies are currently in the pipeline.
Shuffle Master plans to offer online poker and other interactive games on a B2B basis to Nevada land operators hoping to compete in a legalised online poker market in the Silver State.
The next step for Shuffle Master is to have its technologies tested and certified by an independent testing agency approved by the state.
The Irish online bookie Paddy Power was also provisionally approved at Thursday’s meeting.
