Legal considerations shut out Circus Casino players

The online and land gambling owners of internet gambling operation Circus Casino.com have responded to questions regarding their short-notice exclusion of players from Canada and Norway …and the ban is wider than at first thought, extending to ten European countries.
A company spokesman responded to the request for clarification Tuesday after players in Canada and Norway reported that they had received shut-out emails.
“Unfortunately due to changes in the legal situation in certain jurisdictions we are unable to accept business from players based in the following countries: Austria, Belgium, Canada, Germany, Greece, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Russia and Spain after the 17the Of October,” the spokesman explained.
“We understand that this may cause confusion, and we would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused.”
It appears that the company, which operates several other internet gambling sites that will presumably also be affected, is positioning itself to take advantage of regulatory changes in a number of European nations, ensuring it has a clean operating slate in doing so.
