Staff at the Leeds, UK base of online gambling operator Sky Betting and Gaming received the encouraging news this week that they work for one of the most employee-friendly companies in Britain.
The company has been acknowledged in the Sunday Times Top 100 Best Companies lists as being among the best to work for; a prestigious accolade arrived at after extensive independent research into employee engagement in the UK.
All the scores and ratings studied to compile the lists are based on organisation-wide employee opinions, and each year the questionnaires are revised and updated to reflect current workplace concerns.
“To be recognised in this way less than a year after becoming an independent company is a fantastic achievement for everyone at Sky Betting and Gaming,” said the company’s brand and personnel director Rob Painter in a presser this week.
“I’m incredibly proud of the culture we have created and this award represents a significant step on our way to fulfilling our ambition of becoming the UK’s best digital business. There’s never been a better time to join us.”
That fits well with a recent announcement by the company that it is making an GBP 11 million investment in the creation of 200 new jobs (see previous report).
