Sky Betting & Gaming (Sky Bet) detailed an GBP 11 million investment within this year that will enable 200 new jobs, the launch of a software academy, a new customer hub in Leeds City Centre, the launch of a commercial academy and expansion into another floor of its existing premises.
According to SkyBet half the jobs on offer would be situated at its Leeds headquarters within the technology and customer support departments while the remaining 100 would be situated at its Sheffield Technology Hub.
The company will embark on a GBP 250,000 marketing campaign to support the drive.
“With the business performing well we have decided that now is the time to significantly increase our investment in people and facilities. This is a vote of confidence not only in our own plans to make betting and gaming better but also in the health of the Yorkshire economy,” chief executive Richard Flint said.
