The UK online betting group Skybet is interested in further involvement in Football League sponsorship going into 2017, possibly for two further seasons when its current agreements are completed, the League announced this week.
The company is the title sponsor of the Sky Bet Championship, Sky Bet League 1 and Sky Bet League 2 for season 2015-16.
However, the League has reserved its position to consider other opportunities with interested parties in the meantime.
Sky marketing director Rob Painter said his company was looking forward to its third year as title sponsor and its ongoing partnership with the Football League over the next three seasons.
“As we move on to our final season, we remain committed to The Football League and next season’s Capital One Cup and are extremely proud to have sponsored this incredible competition,” he said this week.
