Slovenia state lottery launches online sports betting site

Aided by Inspired Gaming, the Slovenia state sports lottery (Športna Loterija) has launched its virtual sports betting online site well ahead of the Brazil-hosted FIFA World Cup football championships in June this year.

Inspired has provided the sports lottery’s website, e-stave, with seven sports – horses, greyhounds, football, motor racing, speedway, tennis and cycling – localised for the Slovenian betting market.

The sports will be streamed live on the website every three minutes, giving Slovenian punters around 3,000 betting events every day, with the main action becoming available early June.

Športna Loterija director, Primož Pöschl, said, “Many of our players are sports fans and are already familiar with sports betting so they will welcome the increased volume of betting entertainment on the website and the range of bet markets available.”

Inspired has considerable experience in the genre, having previously worked with World Lottery Association majors like Sisal, Lottomatica, OPAP and NSLAC, and Inspired’s Virtual Sports is reportedly the product of choice for Italian lottery, betting and gaming, operators, representing over 95 percent of the Italian market.
