The executive chairman of the Italian betting group SNAI, Gabriele del Torchio, has resigned for undisclosed reasons and will depart on June 13 according to a statement Wednesday from the company.
Del Torchio, a former chairman of Alitalia, joined the board of SNAI last year following the company’s merger with gambling technology provider Cogemat SA (see previous report).
In a statement the company noted that Del Torchio’s appointment had been anticipated to be one of limited duration, and that his resignation had been approved by the board and investors.
“SNAI Group thanks, Mr Del Torchio for his significant contribution to the company in the context of the integration with Cogemat/Cogetech Group,” the statement said.
