Recently acquired Playtech subsidiary Snaitech has unveiled its Spanish market ambitions after achieving licensing from regulator DGOJ as it makes its first move outside its Italian home market.
The company’s B2B omni-channel sports betting platform in Spain represents an initial step in an international strategy that will see Snaitech offer its technology in B2B deals with Spanish licensed operators using the Apuestas by SNAI brand.
The offering includes sports betting, horseracing and virtual sports through an omni-channel solution comprising betting terminals, payment processing services, as well as online and mobile apps.
The retail Betsmart platform offers betting on over 800 daily sports events (1,200 on weekends) along with statistical data and live scores.
Snaitech managing director Fabio Schiavolin said in a statement this week. “The Snaitech universe is being transformed and is driving the company beyond its position as an Italian market leader. After launching in July, in the following months we want to expand our presence in the Spanish gaming sector in different autonomous communities.”
Schiavolin has committed to remain in post until 2021, working with Playtech’s CEO Mor Weizer, who has been nominated as chairman of the Snaitech board. Playtech CFO Andrew Smith also joins the board as a director.
