Social casino gaming continues to grow

The independent research group Newzoo has started promoting its latest survey on social casino gaming, noting that in the US alone, there are 73.9 million social casino gamers… and more than half of these spend money.

In a teaser on the content of its report, Newzoo claims that social casino titles made up one quarter of the Top 20 Grossing Games on iOS in the US in July.

The report covers recent casino gamer research, and provides an in-depth look at the players of casino, slots, bingo/slingo, blackjack, and poker franchises across three of the biggest social casino markets: US, UK, and Australia. For example, in the latter country 2.4 million Aussies play social casino games, most aged 36-50 and recruited via social media.
