Shoutz Inc., a marketing, technology and gaming company headquartered in Kansas City, Missouri, has announced the launch of its GameRail subsidiary, which offers a comprehensive, free-to-play social-lottery experience to the 120 million adults that play U.S. lotteries.
GameRail features more than 50 free-to-play games based on popular themes found in lottery games, such as slots, card games, bingo and instant win games.
The technology platform and many of the games are powered by Blastworks Inc. (formerly GameHouse and a subsidiary of Gaming Realms plc).
“With GameRail, we are pioneering the social-lottery gaming sector by offering a collection of free-to-play interactive game themes, ranging from traditional lottery games like instant win, keno and bingo, to casino style games, such as slots and card games,” said Jim Mueller, CEO of Shoutz and a member of GameRail’s board of directors.
“Lottery players enjoy these games for social purposes and GameRail builds on the traditional lotteries practice of offering lottery players a broad range of play styles and game themes to keep its players entertained and engaged.”
GameRail has an exclusive social gaming partnership with celebrity recording artist Pitbull, and the debut of the Pitbull Arcade is one of GameRail’s featured gaming attractions. The Pitbull Arcade features a selection of online casino-style games, offered in both English and Spanish.
“Mobile and social gaming is one of the highest growth categories on the web today,” said Mueller in a statement Thursday. “For example, social gaming generated more than $4 billion in revenue in the United States in 2015 and an average of 85 million people in the United States play a social, virtual currency game in some form at least once a month.
“While all players will find the content entertaining, we are focused on GameRail’s target market of the 120 million adults in the United States who play the lottery.”
GameRail is a cross-device gaming platform that can be used on mobile and desktop devices. There are plans for an app to be released later this year.
