Dirección General de Ordenación del Juego issues two advisories regarding operator obligations once shared player pools are operational.
The Spanish online gambling regulator Dirección General de Ordenación del Juego has followed French equivalent ARJEL in publishing information and advisory documents for the use of operators who wish to participate in the shared player pools agreed by France, Italy, Portugal and Spain (see previous reports).
On Friday the DGOJ issued a document detailing and explaining shared player liquidity, and another advising operators of their obligations, which include ensuring that strict anti-money laundering measures are in place, along with responsible gaming, additional licensing, compliance with the technical standards and regulations of the four jurisdictions involved and anti-crime precautions.
Involvement in the shared player initiative is also open to new applicants who seek the appropriate licence, the advisory notes.
