The Spanish regulator Dirección General de Ordenación del Juego (DGOJ) announced this week that a new tranche of online gambling licenses will soon be made available, the third such issue since liberalisation.
Tenders will be announced in the government gazette, and applicants will have a one-year window to submit their applications, with the regulator’s decision made known within six months of the application.
The last tender back in 2015 made available ten new licenses; it is at present not known how many will be offered this time around.
