Spielo G2, the i-gaming and sports betting division of Spielo International, has announced that it has signed a long-term extension to continue supplying Swedish state-owned gambling monopoly Svenska Spel with its online poker product.
The agreement, which is the result of a competitive procurement process, extends the partnership agreement for a further four years, with an option for a further four-year term on expiry.
The two organisations have worked together since 1996, and Svenska Spel has used the Spielo G2 poker software since 2006.
“With Svenska Spel recently affirming its online gaming focus, we are delighted to renew our i-gaming partnership with them and maintain a key stronghold in the Nordic countries,” said Spielo International president and CEO Walter Bugno.
“Since 2006, Svenska Spel has successfully fulfilled its task of offering the Swedish public a fun and safe product for interactive poker,” said Peter Zäll, senior vice president sports, number and instant games at Svenska Spel. “We are happy to continue these challenging tasks in partnership with Spielo G2.”
Spielo provides software and systems to lotteries around the world, such as Veikkaus in Finland, Austrian Lotteries, the British Columbia Lottery Corporation (BCLC), and Loto-Québec.
Recently, it entered an agreement to provide online gaming, back office and player services to the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG). It is also providing Norsk Tipping with the Norwegian lottery’s first range of i-gaming products.
