Sportech appoints Slingo CEO to board

Sportech has appointed Slingo chief executive officer Richard Roberts as a non-executive director of the Company, as John Barnes retires from the Board.

Richards, a New Jersey resident, brings solid experience of the mobile, social and iGaming markets which will be of considerable benefit to the Group said Ian Penrose, chief executive officer of Sportech.

On Barnes’ retirement, Penrose added: “I would like to thank John for his support and advice over the last eight years. During that time, Sportech has been transformed from a heavily indebted declining UK business, into one of the world’s leading pools and tote gaming Groups.”
