Sportech in interactive deal with horse racing

Pool and tote betting supplier Sportech PLC’s interactive division Sportech Racing (formerly Scientific Games Racing) has been awarded a contract to provide interactive products and services to the US Balmoral Racing Club and Maywood Trotting Association.
Sportech Racing will provide an online wagering platform, interactive voice response betting system, technical support, customer service, full service marketing and a players reward component commencing in June 2011.
In related news, Roger Withers, Non-executive Chairman of Sportech PLC has announced that the group is performing in line with the Board’s expectations, is highly cash generative and continues to focus on investing in business development opportunities.
The firms e-Gaming business, in a single platform – single wallet approach, will be transferring its customers and products to Playtech gaming software.  The transfer will begin in June and continue through to the final quarter of the year.
