Sportium ninth operator to receive ColJuegos license

Grupo Cirsa-Ladbrokes Coral joint venture Sportium Apuestas has become the ninth authorised online gambling operator in the Colombian market following a license award from regulator ColJuegos.

The operator intends conducting both retail and online-based operations expecting to launch 100 new points of sale prior to the start of the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia.

The five-year contract is reported to be worth $7,857,900.

Sportium joins rivals Aquila (wplay.co), Corredor Empresarial (BetPlay.com.co), Colbet.co, E Total Gaming (Zamba.co), Codereapuestas.co, Grupo Empresarial Geonline (Mijugada.co), Inverstark SAS (Masgol.co) and luckia.co in the market.
