World Snooker has extended its long-running data partnership with Sportradar for a further multi-year term.
As official data partner, Sportradar, will continue to manage official data from leading snooker events to reach fans across devices, platforms and countries.
World Snooker Chairman, Barry Hearn said: “We started our relationship with Sportradar back in 2010 and we have been continually impressed by the way they have brought new ideas, growth and value to World Snooker.”
Managing Director Group Operations at Sportradar David Lampitt, added: “We are proud that World Snooker continues to see us as the right partner to help them serve those snooker followers and bring them ever closer to the players, the tournaments and the sport in general”.
In related news, Sportradar has been named Official International Media Rights Distribution Partner to a new eSports competition being developed by Esports Media Rights-owned eFootball.Pro and KONAMI.
Under the terms of the multi-year partnership, Sportradar will be the exclusive agency commercialising the live media rights for the new league’s matches as well as distributing matchday previews and analysis, highlights, news, interviews, reports and other audiovisual content.
“We trust in the quality of the content produced by Sportradar and its expertise to distribute them,” Javier Alonso, managing director of eFootball.Pro, said. “We hope that we together will lay the foundations of the football eSports’ future and bring the spectators a unique and exciting product”.
Sportradar will also be responsible for the distribution of other eSports events that Esports Media Rights develops.
