Sports data provider Sportradar has entered into a multi-year agreement with the National Hockey League (NHL) becoming the NHL’s exclusive third-party provider of real-time game data, beginning with the 2015-16 NHL Season.
Sportradar will provide real-time play-by-play and game statistics via the League’s proprietary Hockey Information Tracking System to media and technology companies worldwide.
“The NHL’s rich content is a tremendous addition to the Sportradar portfolio. Not only will we provide the fastest NHL data directly from the rink, but our development team will use this data within a dynamic new suite of visual products and applications that will enhance the hockey experience for fans,” Steve Byrd, chief commercial officer for Sportradar US said in a statement Tuesday.
