The Munich-based sports rights and sports marketing agency The Sportsman Media Group and Tennis Australia have entered into a two-year partnership that will see The Sportsman provide live streaming of The Australian Open to gaming operators for betting and gambling purposes from 2012.
Tennis Australia CEO, Steve Wood said: “Tennis Australia is delighted to have signed a two year deal with the sportsman media group and we look forward to a successful and mutually beneficial commercial relationship.”
“The Australian Open, as one of the world’s most prestigious tennis tournaments, is now the master piece of our broad tennis portfolio for the gaming industry, which we see as an important partner for sports entities,” says Thomas Krohne, CEO of the sportsman media group.
The sportsman has provided live streaming solutions for online betting platforms for the past six years and counts bet365, Betfair, bwin, Interwetten, Bet-at-Home, Betclic, Expekt and Unibet amongst its clients.
The company currently offers over 20 000 live events for betting and gaming per year.
