A move to the Optima serverless electronic point of sales system (EPOS) has enabled the respected independent UK bookmaking firm Stan James to cut costs considerably and save staff work and space.
The company switched to the Optima serverless system across its entire estate in July after previously using Optima EPOS technology. The switch was completed early this (October) month and has already delivered noteworthy savings for the company.
Stan James founder and CEO, Steve Fisher, said in a company statement Wednesday:
“The new Optima EPOS software platform is really helping us to do more with less; it takes much less equipment, space and work at shop level looking after and/or replacing worn or damaged equipment…and that saves time and costs.
“The ease of installation, fast implementation and low operating cost will save us time and around £150,000 in our future expansion plans,” he said.
“That’s important in a tough bookmaking environment in which competition; taxes and regulatory requirements continually test the bottom line.”
The Optima EPOS serverless system and the company’s new iSHOP personal betting terminal technology will be on display at the TVC Solihull Bookmakers Trade Show this Thursday the 27th of October.
